open access data policy adopted by the ICES Council in 2006. To read more

The trawl survey data held at ICES is overseen by the trawl survey
working groups that contribute the data from their national offices. One of these
co-ordinating working group (the IBTSWG),
specified how data are accessed in the IBTSWG reports 2003-2007. Extracts of the
data access discussion can be found
here and a summary is given below:
Aggregated data
and raw data are freely available to
download from the data products page on DATRAS.
Each data download is
accompanied by a data acknowledgement text file that describes any known issues
in the data and further advice should the data user be in doubt about how to
interpret and use the data they have downloaded.
